Plum cookies:

½ cup soft butter

1 ½ cups sugar - can add a little less since jam has sugar in it. Original recipe has just cooked plums without sugar.

2 eggs beaten

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ cup sour cream

2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted in double boiler

2 ½ cups flour sifted with:

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup plum jam

 

Combine ingredients in order given and mix well. Drop batter by small spoonfuls on greased and floured cookie sheets and bake 15 minutes in preheated 350 degree oven. These are very soft textured cookies. From Wonderful Wonderful Danish Cooking by Ingeborg Dahl Jensen 1965
